She Asked for It Willow Winters 9781983942167 Books

The title definitely is not what the story is about. Your heart is in a clutch reading about Dean and Allison. Their struggles, their demons but what a love story. The want of needing someone you never saw coming. How Dean and Allison clicked, regardless of the constant banter and defenses but they were meant for each other. This is a tough story at the end when you finally know what happened and so close to the reality of what so many live through day in and day out. I am so happy that Dean and Allison stayed together as they both deserve to be loved! Thanks again Willow! You Rock!!

She Asked for It Willow Winters 9781983942167 Books Reviews

I remember reading the introduction to this book and honestly, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it or not, but it was like it tugged at me. So of course I purchased it and all I can say is wow. I had no idea what I was in for. I knew something had happened but I didn’t really know what. Now I know and wow. It was heart breaking simply because of the guilt and pain Allie lived with and even dean broke my heart too. He never really had anyone to love him or be on his side. Then Allie shows up and it wasn’t suppose to be this way but somethings can’t be stopped. I loved them together. It was like she was his calm and he was her peace. I am glad I went ahead and read it. It was worth the time.
Wow. I am blown away by this book!

She Asked For It is a super dark, angsty read. This book was everything I could have wanted.

I was captivated from the very beginning, and I couldn't let go until the very end. Winters wove an outstanding tale, which has an even better message within its pages.

Allison and Dean are two broken souls. They both hide behind their past and they both try to forget it. They hide between secrets and move on as best as they can.

I'm sitting here struggling to write this review. She Asked For It is beautiful and moving, even though it contains dark elements. I loved everything about this book. Seriously. It's my first Willow Winters read and I was not disappointed!
This book had so much potential but I constantly felt like I was walking through quicksand. The torment just continued to swirl around these two characters that made the story drag and painful to read. unfortunately, the plot basically forced you to continue to get resolution to this nagging issue the female character struggles with constantly. I will not be reading the next book in the series.
I was excited for this book. I thought it would be dark and thought provoking and that it would obliterate me. At least that’s what I gathered and assumed from the cover description.
Well, It’s none of those. It’s a story of a vigilante and that’s it. It wasn’t exceptional in any way. Maybe my expectations were too high.
There was so much potential that could’ve been explored with rape and the justice system but there wasn’t. It was just an easy, unrealistic skim-over. Wasted potential for such a huge, important epidemic to be discussed, even if I’m a fictional way. This book could’ve been used as a tool for discussion. It was just another random book. Disappointed.
This is the continuations of "It's Our Secret." Allison has arrived at college after taking a year off helping her grandmother who has now passed. She has done her research, she knows exactly who is there, where they live, the activities they are involved in. What she doesn't plan on is the feelings she has around Dean. She is use to having hot, dirty, sex but with random guys with no strings attached.

Dean just wants to tap Allison and get her out of his system. He isn't a relationship kind of guy. However, he quickly realizes once isn't enough. He keeps feeling the wall Allison throws up between them though but she won't talk to him. He takes Allison with him to see his mom as he is urged to do by his anger management counselor. It doesn't go well, his mom hasn't changed at all, he knew better. After they return, Allison ghost him.

Allison finally calls Dean to smooth things over. In the mean time Kevin, one of Dean's friends, shows up at her door. She lets him in though she knows she shouldn't but this is also why she is here. Dean arrives to her screams and it doesn't end well for one of them.
Every once in awhile I come across a book that has a little something extra and special about it. I found that true with Little Liar. First it has everything you could want from a romance. Truly! The love and conflict are there with this added drama of how and why is Dean on trial. The world could use a bit more men like Dean in it! The extra and special comes in the message within the story. Its an important one and one I appreciate. I like Ms. Willow Winters wish a certain four-word statement didn’t exist, but you will have to read the book yourself as I unfortunately know people who come down on both sides of the statement. I am grateful for this read and for the ability to gain an additional perspective, learn something about myself, and maybe not feel so alone in the battlefield of life.
“There’s something about knowing other people’s s*** that comforts me. Like if they can go through all that and come out okay, then maybe I’ll be alright. It’s why I like to read thrillers and dark romances. No matter how bad it gets, when it ends, usually there’s a happily ever after.”
I am sure you have heard the old saying, never judge a book by its cover, well, in this case, I would say don't judge a book by its title!
Woo!
Folks, hold on tight this one is a beautifully dark, emotionally draining masterpiece of the harsh places life can go to and what lengths some souls are willing to go to right the wrongs of the ones they love.
Remorse, Greif, Hatred, Confusion, Lust, Anger, and all-consuming loving are found in this plot twisting, break your heart put it back together read. I had no interest in putting this book down until I finished, I was so consumed by these two broken characters stories, I had to know what would become of them both.
Willow Winters has taken me on a dark journey with a sublimely written storyline, which contained a whole lot scorching heat, on the edge of my seat, eyes glued to the page twists and a romance I was rooting for! Her creative mind, and writing style continues to amaze me!
A definite must read!
